The Red Claw Crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) is a large, eye-catching freshwater species native to Queensland, Australia. It features a beautiful blue to green-blue body with distinctive red patches on the claws — making it one of the most striking and sought-after crayfish in the hobby.
Highly adaptable and relatively peaceful compared to other crayfish, Red Claws can be housed in larger aquariums with care. They're intelligent, curious, and thrive in a well-structured tank with hiding spaces and room to explore.
