Blue Peacock Cichlid

The Blue Peacock Cichlid is a beautiful and peaceful Malawi species, prized for its metallic blue body, graceful movement, and vibrant coloration. With shimmering scales and elegant fins, this Aulonocara is a top choice for aquarists building a colourful African cichlid tank without excessive aggression.

Unlike the more territorial Mbuna, Blue Peacocks are generally calm and do well in community setups with other peaceful Haps or Peacocks. Males are more vividly coloured, especially when kept with females or in the presence of other males. Provide plenty of open swimming space and scattered rocks or caves for ideal conditions.
