Golden Weather Loach

The Weather Loach, also known as the Dojo Loach, is a fascinating and highly active freshwater fish known for its eel-like body, playful personality, and unique ability to sense changes in barometric pressure—hence the name “weather” loach.

Native to East Asia, this species is incredibly hardy and can thrive in a wide range of temperatures, making it suitable for both indoor aquariums and cool-water setups like indoor ponds or unheated tanks.

Weather Loaches are peaceful bottom dwellers that enjoy being kept in small groups. They burrow into the substrate and are known for their quirky behaviour — often swimming excitedly before a storm.

Note: A tight-fitting lid is essential, as they are strong jumpers.
