Jacobfreibergi Peacock Cichlid 5cm

The Jacobfreibergi Peacock Cichlid, often simply called “Jake Peacock,” is one of the most stunning and variable members of the Aulonocara genus. Native to Lake Malawi, this species comes in multiple vibrant colour morphs — including Eureka Red, Otter Point, Cape Maclear, and Undu Reef — but all share the species' signature elongated body, striking metallic blues, and bold orange to red fin highlights.

Jake Peacocks are peaceful for African cichlids and are best kept with other non-aggressive Malawi species like fellow Peacocks and Haps. Males show the most intense colours when housed with a few females in a well-structured aquarium with open swimming space and rock caves.
