The Penguin Tetra is a peaceful and eye-catching schooling fish, named for the distinctive black line that runs from mid-body to the lower tail – giving it the appearance of a penguin’s waddle. Active and graceful, Penguin Tetras are perfect for planted or community aquariums, where they swim mid-to-top levels in tight groups.
These hardy fish are easy to care for, making them ideal for beginners and experienced aquarists alike. Best kept in groups of 6 or more, they display their best colours and behaviour when surrounded by their own kind.
